LONDON - A hospital spokesperson announced that the surgical procedure to separate the two conjoined Lowton twin brothers was a complete success.
Brothers Mark and Paul Lowton had been joined at head and pelvis since birth. Their togetherness proved to be embarrassing in restroom and dating situations.
"The young men are doing fine now and are expected to live separate lives in the future," said Dr. Sidney Winterfork. "We did have to deal with some unforeseen problems during the surgery, however. One brother had to get most of the available brain tissue, but the other brother wound up with the only penis. I am sure it will all work out just fine."
