Ignoring the first part of the Second Amendment about weapons being necessary for a Militia, the Supreme Court has ruled that all Americans have a Constitutional Right to own a military style assault rifle.
However, they can't own a machine gun, or rocket launcher.
Senators say they are not permitted to discriminate against mass shooters, as US citizens, they have inalienable rights.
"We can't just go around being a lawless country," a Senator explains. "Gun owners have extra needs and need extra protection.
"Besides many of them are republican.
"And they can buy as many AK-47s as they want. It's good for business."
