Director of OMB Mick Mulvaney had no idea what he started when he was overheard saying "Let them eat coal" after a press conference in Washington DC. His comment was in response to journalists who questioned the effects GOP budget cuts will have on our most vulnerable citizens.
A thousand memes were launched from that one comment alone.
Now it seems everyone has a favorite nickname for Mulvaney, even the Pope!
Here are some of the nicknames for him collected from public figures so far:
Dick Cheney: Interviewed for Hunting and Ammo "I like Darth Mulvaney, it's got a good ring to it."
Hillary Clinton: Fresh from her recovery in Amsterdam, she simply smiled and quipped, "Cruella."
Pope Francis: "This is Fake News, right? OK, I call him the Stingy Leprechaun--even other leprechauns have said this about him."
Mitch McConnell: Long saddled with the Mitch "the Bitch" moniker, the senate scarecrow seemed taken aback when first asked if he had a nickname for Mulvaney. McConnell then chuckled and told DC reporters, "sure, how about Mick 'The Grinch' Mulvaney."
Bernie Sanders: "I've been calling him the Billionaire's BFF for months and it's been ignored--the fake news finally has to report on it."
Vicente Fox: The former president of Mexico seemed annoyed by the question at an unrelated press conference, but then laughed it off saying: "This guy does not need a cute nickname, these Trump guys are fncking a$$holes!"
