New English.. no, British.. no.. UK CSI on the way!

Following the huge success of the American CSI series, CSI Las Vegas, CSI New York, CSI Miami, and CSI Los Angeles, the BBC have applied for permission to make an English CSI Nottingham Series.

Originally thought to be impracticable by the £406k salaried BBC's Director of Vision, Jana Bennett, as she was made aware that after the cutbacks, Nottingham has only 4 members left in its Forensic Science Service and two of them are part-time, and the SOCO (Scene Of Crime Officers) bods are down to 6.

But Nottingham Councillor B. Ackander who was keen to get some acknowledgement and recognition for the city, paid her a visit, offering to take her with him on the Council's Chamber of Commerce trip in July to the West Indies 4-week fact finding trip to assess the affects of ganja smoke on the Outer Peruvian pregnant kangaroos when in labour, and she gave him the go ahead!
