Don't let these precious darlings out of your sight for a minute

I was in a store yesterday and a young woman was in there with her sweet little girl, about 18 months old. A cashier was talking to them and said,

"Hello honey. You are such a cutie." She didn't know the mom and toddler.

"She thinks you know her name," giggled the young mother.

I was shocked that the young mother had actually named her daughter 'Honey'...even more shocked than I was when I heard that Becks' little girl is called Harper Seven.

This is the reason:

Over here, and I am sure in other parts of the world, 'honey' is a term of endearment that is used regularly (well, not by MY husband..but you get the picture). will be easy for a stranger to lure away a little girl with the name 'Honey' - not even knowing he/she had 'hit' on the little one's real name and made her feel secure.

The Becks weren't as stupid as people thought when they named their children. Way to go! A clever move on their part because no-one would lure their children away by calling their names...they'd never guess them in a month of Sundays.

Being serious again!

Also! Why do people buy their children tee shirts, back packs, jackets etc. with the children's name emblazoned across them?

Easy pickings. Parents beware!

Also I am appalled at parents who send their little ones off to play with toys in the toy department of large department stores whilst the parents look around other departments.

I've heard parents say, "Don't move from here. We'll be back shortly."

Really! What if someone else gets to them FIRST.

THINK! DON'T LET THEM OUT OF YOUR SIGHT YOU MORONS - And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
