Spurs on the run

Penny knew it would be alright and that West Ham would come storming back when they had found their feet.

'The first win in the League this season against Tottenham after the League Cup away win against Sunderland. We'll be up amongst the fron runners in no time' she enthused to her boy friend Terry.

He was happy about West Ham and also about his first training with Leyton Orient under sixteens when he had played well without scoring.

'Don't get too carried away Penny. We need a few more wins to feel comfortable. But Avram's slow approach seems to be paying off. Anyway Millwall are coming unstuck and don't look as if they are headed for the Premiership.'

'We could go to the Fulham match at Upton Park, they are doing the £1 entry for children again.'

'Sorry Penny, I can't make it. My parents are taking me to
see some relatives who could help me with football. One of them, a cousin I think, works on the Sports section of 'News of the World' and could be a helpful contact.'

'I don't want to go on my own' said Penny.

'Why don't you go with my Dad? He needs to get out a bit.'

'OK let's ask him.'

Joe Smith was pleased to get the invitation and everything was ready for another visit to the Hammers.
