'The Red Scarf Brigade' have, indeed, pulled out of the 'Harrods' deal.
They no longer have the money to buy this 'icon' of British Department Stores. When asked why they pulled out, spokesman, Canuck William, wearing no pants as usual, said,
"Well, we successfully bid in the auction for the Subo fansite and it did indeed take every penny we had between us. Contrary to popular belief, members of THE site are NOT wealthy fans, quite the opposite.
We masqueraded as wealthy, Christian, folk, in an attempt to 'win over' all those gullible fanatics out there, who either had money or worshipped THE LORD. We did build up quite a following of Subo fanatics and a couple of them had rich husbands - much to our delight.
In the end, we could not come up with the cash to buy the 'site' AND Harrods, so Harrods had to go.
Staff of THE site held a meeting (well SOME of us did, we left out those who would have objected to our decision. We only invite Mods. who we know will agree with our decisions to these 'meetings. We always keep the 'others' in the dark for obvious reasons.)"
When asked why the members 'bought' the site, rather than just setting up a new 'free' site and move their fanatics there for no cost at all, Canuck William said,
"Well it's obvious eh?"
A man of few words indeed, but plenty of 'dangly bits' and no trousers.
'Canuck' has agreed that the 'owners' of the site intend to 'milk the fanatics for every penny they can'.
