This show is a very shallow pretense of the real music we hear today. Instead of meaningful country music (Like "Let's All Go Down To Dumas Walkers" or was it, "To Do Miss Walkers? Either way, it was deep) or pop material ("Don't Worry, Be Happy"), these people are rewarded by how they appear and how popular they are with the public.
Did Little Richard put on a show for viewers and listeners? How about Liberace? I think not!
Simon Cowell was a goofy judge. It wasn't the many put-downs like "Your voice sounds just like a fart!", it was the WAY he had of saying those type things. I think that the very least put-down I could deliver is the fact that Cowell was no Judge Judy!
Although the Steve Martin visit left a permanent "Old People" smell after his visit back stage two years ago, this is no excuss for a young lady or man to sing one line and then puke their guts out on stage.
But according to the live audience, this seems to be the high point of the show.
Then, maybe it is.
I'm Huge Romney or as most of you know me, Wavey Weenie.
