Following the self proclaimed success of his last season of Celerity Apprentice, the master of pomp and circumstance, in fact of pontification and self promotion as well, Donald Trump has announced the format of a new fall show. "Celebrity Congressman" will feature a group of local New York celebrities, as Trump grooms them for an upcoming U.S. Congressional election.
"And why not", asks Trump's personal Italian Barista, Carmel Macchiato. "He's a genius on the business stage and the political stage as well. He's a just too busy to run for President right now".
The Fox network seemed to jump at the chance to host the new series, offering its own bevy of political analysts to help groom the potential celebrity candidates. "If we pick local newscasters, Sports or Broadway stars, they will already own that most critical of assets, name recognition", says Fox nearly retired producer, Lou Sensteime. "If we could only get Jeter on the show, now that would be bank, baby".
Details of the show are still sketchy, but Trump will most likely sit in a large wing back chair in an ornate space that rivals the White House oval office. "Somewhere in there, somebody is gonna get fired. I just feel it", says Macchiato. "But nobody is better than Fox or Mr. Trump at understanding what the people want. He is the right man to mentor our next congressman or congresswoman from New York".
In a related story, President Obama, while on tour through Ireland, had heard the news of Trumps political candidate show, chuckled and commented, "Make sure you get all their birth certificates".
