"Did someone say 'Tripp'?"

According to a national tabloid and to some reports back in 2008 and 2009, the marriage of the former VP candidate, Sarah Palin, may be very shaky this morning.

The latest reports say that Sarah Palin's husband, Todd, has been caught up in a sex scandal that involves a massage therapist named Shailey Tripp, who was apparently arrested by police for prostitution.

Tripp is said to have pleaded "no contest" and paid her fine. As far as we can tell, she has stated nothing about who her clients were but employees and business owners near her parlor say that they recognized Todd Palin going there on more than one occasion.

If true, this will throw another spanner in the works of any plans for Sarah Palin's possible run for the White House in 2012.

Already, one daughter has turned up pregnant, and rumors of a possible pregnancy of another has been all over the news this past year.

Thus far, Sarah Palin has stated that saving her marriage is more important to her than becoming president. She has also hinted that Ms. Tripp may have been a political set-up by the Democrats.

Wouldn't that be something that still another presidential run would be halted by someone named "TRIPP"?

Many think that Al Gore lost the 2000 election due to former president Bill Clinton being "Tripped up!"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
