WEST HOLLYWOOD - Carnie Wilson, one-third of the all-girl band Wilson Phillips says that her amazing weight loss of 150 pounds is history.
The 5 foot 3 inch singer noted that she sort of fell off the diet that she had been on and in a matter of a few months her weight has shot back up to 300 pounds.
Wilson, daughter of Beach Boy Brian Wilson, did point out that when she lost 150 pounds and got down to 150 she also lost a lot of power in her vocal cords and so therefore instead of sounding like the original Carnie Wilson she began to sound like the deep manly voiced Ann "Trigger Face" Coulter.
Carnie said that she got to where she could not stand to hear herself sing, even in the shower with the water running full blast. She said that she soon found herself copying Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee and lip syncing constantly.
She said that she fell into a deep depression and one day she called up her sister, fellow band mate Wendy and had a long talk with her.
The two sisters then talked to the third member of Wilson Phillips, Chynna Phillips and had lunch at a Tacos, Tacos, And Mucho More Tacos in Alhambra.
Chynna told her that it did not matter if she had regained the 150 pounds and gotten back up to being a 300 pounder. She said that what was important was if she could still hit the high notes.
Carnie assured her that due to the 150 pound weight gain her vocal cords had gotten squeezed back to their original size thus allowing her singing notes to come out sharper, crisper, and a whole lot prettier than before when she looked like a sperm whale with legs and lipstick.
The trio is looking forward to going on tour in March. They will be the opening act for Lady Gaga on her 58 city 2011 Lady Gaga's Groin Goody Concert Tour.
