For some unknown reason, no one has ever linked British actor Tom Sturridge with the Twilight people although Sturridge is not only Pattinson's friend but is a name outside the United States, when it comes to movies.
Tom reportedly told friends lately that he and Pattinson have been friends for years plus they have both been connected to Kristen Stewart, even before the Twilight movie series.
"Kristen and I have dated and Robert knows that. I think the whole "Pattinson/Stewart" thing has been blown out of proportion. Lots of people date around Hollywood and elsewhere. That doesn't mean they plan to spend the rest of their lives together."
Sturridge stated that those who DO attempt to spend the rest of their lives together do not have a good track record.
"Robert or Kristen are free to see anyone they like. Just because Kristen is seen with me or anyone else, doesn't mean we're serious. We DO have friends, you know."
Tom could see that his message wasn't getting across to the reporters or maybe it was going over too well, as they wanted a big story.
"OK! So Kristen and I aren't serious. I still love to grab-ass all I can when we're together!"
