Nina Dobrev of the television series, "The Vampire Diaries" says that she has a certain something that Kristen Stewart or other women in vampire stories don't have: "I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria in the heart of the legendary vampire stories, and not all of them are stories."
Dobrev claims that the other women don't understand that they should be more serious about the role.
"I hear that they are always joking around the set and may even do a Vampire Spoof for Mel Brooks. If I were them, I wouldn't joke about these things."
Admitting that she left Bulgaria as a two-year-old, she says her parents and grandfather, in particular, taught her all about the legends.
"There is evil in the world. Just look around. Actually it's the other way around, this is an evil world. And it is filled with vampires."
Dobrev would not share any personal stories she had heard but stated that all you had to do is look at a Bernie Madoff.
"He's ruined the lives, sucked out the life blood of hundreds, maybe thousands of people. That's one type of vampire."
"And what happened to her grandfather's mother someone asked. Someone told us there was something strange about her death."
"She died of tooth decay. I mean, once the teeth go, they starve to death!"
