It is true. The American Government sent our dear Queen Elizabeth, birthday greetings a week 'early'.
Hilary Clinton is feeling a tad embarassed, but it could have been worse. She could have made a bigger 'boo boo' and sent a 'wreath'. Now that WOULD have needed a BIG apology.
As it is, the Americans are trying to 'laugh it off' and hope HRH won't stop talking to them as a result of this faux pas.
An American Ambassador is quoted as saying,
"Well, it's an honest mistake. Anyone could have made it couldn't they?"
