Wabbits - The Beginning Of The End For The One Show

The news that Christine Bleakley off The One Show has sacked her agent has led to increasing speculation that the water skiing Irish Colleen will shortly leave Aunty Beeb and mosey on over to ITV, like former co-presenter Adrian Chiles.

Chiles himself, a cornerstone of cult favourite The One Show hadn't ever really wanted to leave the Beeb, as evidenced by his alleged 'beard' protest when plans were announced to hand the Friday edition of the show over to ginger DJ Chris Evans

The end result of that little spat was that the jovial - currently beardless - Brummie, landed a plum job as an ITV presenter. Probably better paid too. And it seems that Bleakley is all set to follow in his footsteps.

Some insiders insist that the final straw for Bleakley on The One Show came about when an item about rabbits descended into farce when a buck jumped a doe and proceeded to pump her up, live on camera. Rumour has it that Bleakley was reduced to tears by the incident, claiming that she hadn't signed up for that sort of thing.

Some reports suggest that Frank Lampard - currently on World Cup duty with the England squad - is unhappy that his lady friend should have to preside over frenetic rabbit sex live on air, and has advised her to get a new job.

Like on This Morning with Pip Schofield, talking about ailments and interviewing stars. But not cooking with Gino DiCampo who Lampard apparently wouldn't trust as far as he could throw him. Especially around women.

More as we get it.
