Los Angeles, CA - In yet another development in the tragic story of unrequited (due to legal requirements) love between Kara DioGuardi and American Idol contestant, Casey James, it is being reported that DioGuardi has locked herself in her home and refuses to come out until someone assures her that Casey will be on the show again Tuesday.
A peek inside her home gave a glance of just how heartbroken DioGuardi is. Sitting there on the living room floor, dressed in the bikini she planned on wearing for Casey at the finale show, she looked tiny and disconsolate amid the sea of various magazines and tabloids with James on the cover. She reportedly hasn't eaten or slept in days. She pulls a People magazine spread to her face and sobs into it, "Casey, oh Casey, why, why, why, why, Casey?"
Her husband, Mike, is beside himself. "I honestly thought I was the man of her dreams, but obviously, she has some deep-seated obsession with Mr. James, or rather Casey. I can't bring myself to think of him in terms of being a man just yet, although, look at her, he points through the window, look at my Kara, she definitely sees him as a man."
Asked if this is going to break up their marriage of less than a year, Mike said "I don't know. I hope not. This is the nature of the music industry beast," he explained matter-of-factly. "I honestly think Kara had no clue she had gotten so far into this kid, and although it looks bad now, I think in time and with lots of therapy, she'll come to understand the difference between what is a fantasy and what is real. Until then, I'll stick it out with her."
And to Casey, he had these wise words "Kid, if you're listening, keep your fu*king shirt on next time. You have a great voice without the peep show."
