Los Angeles, CA - You have to hand it to Lindsay Lohan. When the going gets tough, the Lohan gets high, and it is that very action that landed Lindsay Lohan in some seriously hot water yet again with a Beverly Hills Judge who ordered an arrest warrant for Lohan when she didn't show up this week for a court hearing.
The Judge viewed photos and video of Lohan having the time of her life partying at the Cannes Film Festival, seemingly thumbing her nose at the Los Angeles judicial system. "I was livid," said the Judge. "This child just seems to have no respect whatsoever for the law. We would love to know what possessed her to decide to take off to France instead of staying in LA and facing the music."
Said Lohan, "When I realized I might go to jail, I panicked. Although most people don't see me as vulnerable, I was--vulnerable and scared. I didn't know where to turn. Then, while partying with a bunch of my friends a few days before my scheduled court thingie, someone brought up some old dude by the name of Roman Polanski who, legend has it, escaped to France decades ago to beat the rap on some kinda bogus rape charge or sex thing or whatever, and how he is still fighting to stay out of jail."
Evidently, the idea to flee made sense to Lohan and she and her entourage took off for Paris the next day. "Like it's not like anyone was trying to stop me or anything," said Lohan. "I pretty much can get away with whatever I want and I figure if this Polanski dude can pull it off, I can too. In fact, I was thinking of visiting him in France while I was over there and hanging out with him, but I wasn't so lucky. They're putting my ass on a flight back to appear before Judge Cratchett tomorrow."
When asked to comment on Lindsay Lohan's romanticizing of his own flight from the law, Polanski replied, "I've grown from my experience. If Lindsay would have shown up at my door, I would have welcomed her in and then I would have put her over my knee and given her a well-deserved spanking."
