A legal team representing Scottish diva Susan Boyle have taken action to stop A Question Of Sport presenter Sue Barker shortening her name to SuBa.
SuBo is thought to be unaware of this and would in no way condone this action as she is a huge fan of Barkers, who she calls 'the wee blonde lady who presents that daft sports quiz on BBC1'.
SuBa has denied she is going to shorten her name and believes this whole story has been made up by someone who has got too much time on their hands at the moment.
If successful, the legal team are planning to take on a number of other cases to stop people and companies using names that could be considered similar to SuBo
These include-
SuMo - An ancient Japanese form of wrestling dating back many centuries even before Boyle was born.
SuBaru - A Japanese car manufacturer who advertise their range of vehicles using the catchphrase 'Uncommon Sense', coincidently the title of SuBos next single.
ScoobyDoo - Lovable hound who is big in the USA and communicates by barking out words that are hard to understand..... But that's enough about SuBo...
SuSsudio - Nonsense song from the eighties by bald midget Phil Collins, allegedly written about some older woman who he was infatuated with at the time. Rumours that Susan Boyle was his babysitter as a child are thought to be untrue.
SuDoku - Frustrating and pointless waste of time which can have you tearing your hair out and swearing out loud when it gets too annoying... But that's enough about SuBo...
