Flight attendants in Madrid who are owed up to nine months' wages by a grounded Spanish airline have posed nude for a calendar to draw attention to their plight, one of the cabin crew turned models said on Wednesday.
"We had to do something to catch people's attention and I think we have", stated one attendant or hostess, who asked not to use her name.
The new calendar, who's many excerpts have now appeared in the Spanish media, shows the Air Comet female attendants posing provocatively outside and inside the airline cabins, and in a few cases, up on top of a jet turbine.
"Well, I don't care if you use MY name. We are just demanding our rights to receive the money we have already work for, we each have eight or nine months of unpaid salaries," attendant Adriana Ricardo, who appears in the calendar, told reporters.
"Here's another thing. Run this story everywhere you can because I want the whole world to know what has happened here. We work hard and for that, we should have already been paid."
According to another story that was carried on Reuters, Air Comet, which is run by the embattled chairman of Spain's main employers' association CEOE, Gerardo Ferran, filed for administration in December after a British court impounded nine of its aircraft at the request of German bank HSH Nordbank.
But no one would answer our questions when we asked about the hostesses.
