Los Angeles - (Propofool Mess): Corey Haim, star of cult vampire movie The Lost Boys has died in Los Angeles of a suspected overdose. He was 38.
Shocked friends have asked the LAPD to check if a rogue batch of cocaine may be implicated.
Last year a spate of high profile Hollywood deaths linked to tainted recreational drugs was blamed for almost a dozen deaths.
"Something or someone is killing off so many talented actors," a cleaning lady at Haim's apartment block said today, "probably cutting a helluva lot of rat poison to make some extra bucks."
Family sources said today Corey had been to rehab 'about two dozen times' but had never really cracked the habit.
Former Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham added that she'd briefly dated Haim in the 1990s but the relationship had been celibate:
"Never got it up for me, so I dumped him. Was it the drugs? Dunno. Men still go crazy for me, like. What did ya say his name was?"
