Hollywood, Los Angeles The 82nd Academy Awards have been held today and every one is talking about the "streaker" who performed during an advertisement break.
The naked form of a person who suspiciously resembled Simon Cowell was seen gallopping across the stage area before security and other nondescript personnel tackled him to the ground.
When confronted however the identity was in fact Ryan Seacrest, who explained that he lost all his clothes the night before at a seedy casino and was "hot footing" to wardrobe to get some stylish kit before taking his place in the Kodak Theatre audience.
The bemused witnesses didn't know what to think and some even thought that it was celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, making a desperate attempt to lift the ratings of his cooking show.
The awards carried on regardless and this incident will just become a part of Academy Awards trivia.
