Alternative Rock band R.E.M. have been compared to the composer Wagner according to music critic Robert Jones.
Robert explained the composer Rossini said "Wagner has brilliant moments but awful half hours." Wagner did write brilliant music like the famous Ride of the Valkyries,which was used in the film Apocalypse Now but some of his other stuff would put you to sleep.
R.E.M. the rock band are noted for brilliant songs like LOSING MY RELIGION and MAN ON THE MOON but Jones reckons if you take these two brilliant pieces away a lot of their stuff is absolutely awful.
Well there you have it comparing WAGNER to R.E.M. absolutely incredible.
