Texas rock duo ZZ Top has been conclusively linked to early church father John Calvin.

"It was one of those things that we probably could have guessed at years ago but it took modern science to make it conclusive," said Prof. Jerome Hugginshire, referring to the group's famous facial hair.

The rockers agreed to give dna samples to a European research company after receiving numerous questions about the eerie similarity to the Swiss theologian.

"We're famous for being non-conformists", guitarist of the group Billy Gibbons noted, "although Uncle John persecuted people that didn't conform to him so its a little different."

During concerts, member Dusty Hill has often made connections between being a "Sharp dressed man" and a "drawn and quartered sharply man".

"We'd always just sort of wondered if there was something there," Drummer Frank Beard mused.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
