A Wierd Al Yankovic like parody of the song "Hey There, Delilah" has soared into the top forty and jumped to the number six spot in it's first week of release. Music experts say that "Hey There, Vagina" will probably grab the top position in the Top Forty Music Countdown this week and may hold on for a long time.
The song, which was recorded by the writing team of Phil and Bertie Buck, has been referred to as "an homage to one of the most admired parts of the female anatomy."
Phil and Bertie claim that they drew inspiration, and their pen names, from Buck E. Filbert. Filbert was a confidant to the stars from the 1930's until his tragic death in 2008 at age 102. Buck E. Filbert also wrote The Vagina Diaries (not to be confused with The Vagina Monologues).
Phil said that "many men sing songs or write poems to their penises, or even name them. We thought that it was time someone wrote a song to honor and pay homage to the vagina."
Apparently, their idea has been successful.
Some of the lyrics are:
Hey there, Vagina
What's it like at Bikini Wax City?
Taking a thousand hairs away
But girl, tonight you'll look so pretty
Yes you do.
Britney Spears could not look as hot as you.
I swear it's true.
This story is dedicated to the late Buck E. Filbert.
