HOLLYWOOD - The pop music icon Britney Spears has stated that now that her "Circus Tour" is over she has decided to leave her blonde locks and her somewhat checkered past behind her.
Spears told her hairstylist, Pauly of Pomona, that she wanted him to give her a new more mature looking hair style. She confided to Pauly that she is tired of people asking her if she is Jessica Simpson's little sister.
The 28-year-old Spears stated that her Australian tour really left her depressed and feeling like she was a blonde version of Amy Winehouse except without ugly tattoos, weird body piercings, an effed up hairdo, and horrible teeth.
Britney has also apologized to the Australian concert goers for lip syncing her entire concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Canberra.
She also confided that the press conferences were also lip synced through an agenda of prior arranged questions. Britney added that the only reason she did it was to save her voice for American music awards show performances.
Since becoming a brunette, Britney says that several members of the celluloid media have remarked that she reminds them of Katie Holmes except of course for the fact that she is not married to Tom Cruise, and that she can, when she actually wants to sing live and sound fairly decent as opposed to that lip syncing sh*t that she became obsessed with.
Spears was asked by a reporter for Rolling Stone Magazine if her rug matches her drapes. Britney thought about it for a while and replied, "Okay, I get it now, yeah my drapes and my rug do match, but my rug is a whole lot prettier."
She smiled, took a sip of her Singapore Sling, and said that for a moment there she had kinda reverted back to her blondness."
SIDENOTE: Britney's hairdresser Pauly of Pomona took several pictures of Britney's rug as he was dyeing it. He said that with her permission he sold them to TM-Si and they will be posted on their web site immediately.
