DETROIT - Tareq and Michaele Salahi, better known as the White House Party Crashers have been arrested by Detroit Police.
The infamous couple was arrested as they were attending The American Carburetor Makers Convention, which they had of course crashed.
Michaele was wearing the same red dress that she had worn to the White House state dinner and Tareq was wearing the same tuxedo.
The couple had snuck in and were sitting at the table of the master of ceremonies local Detroit stand up comedian Fritzy Wilderness.
And the ironic thing is that Wilderness had made several jokes about the White House Party Crashers before he even realized that the couple was sitting at his table.
When he learned who they were he asked them to come up on the stage with him. He went into a joke routine.
Folks what's the difference between the White House Party Crashers, the Salahis and a Taliban White House Party Crasher? The Salahis didn't get their asses shot all to hell.
Wilderness then asked Mr. and Mrs. Salahi to join him in singing the old Lesley Gore classic, "It's My Party And I'll Cry If I Want Do."
Just as they were going into the second chorus, three Detroit police officers approached the stage and told the Salihis that they were being arrested.
"On what grounds?" Tareq asked.
And he was told on the grounds that the president of the United States wanted their butts arrested. Michaele said that she would not go and that they would have to drag her out of the convention center yelling, screaming, and kicking.
Two police officers each grabbed a leg and they drug Mrs. Salahi out of the convention center yelling, screaming, and kicking.
In a related story. President Obama has issued a strongly worded directive that in the future, if any one else tries to crash a White House state function, the individual or individuals will be immediately arrested and sent down to Texas, where Governor Rick Perry will be more than glad to introduce them to "Old Sparky."
