The man who delivered the foster report has revealed he has suffered a deep personal tragedy. It happened just seven hours after he delivered the report that revealed the failings of the NHS.
The Terrible tragedy occured as Dr Foster was celebrating the completion of his task and the successful delivery of the report, in a small pub...in Gloucester.
He did admit that whilst in the pub, he had noticed that it was raining, but he hadn't noticed quite how much until he left the premises and tried to make his way home.
He narrowly avoided getting his shoes wet in fives quite large puddles, but when he stepped in the 6th puddle, he fell into a hole right up to his middle and Dr Foster nearly drowned.
It took three firemen and an ambulance to get Dr Foster out of that puddle. The ambulance man said it was a very stressful task, especially as Dr Foster had been so cruel to the NHS in his report.
He said "I was tempted just to leave him there, just walk away, but I'm not like that. I work for the NHS and we have ethics to adhere too. We can't just leave people in puddles because they say mean things about us in reports"
Dr Foster was treated for hypothermia and then sent home to his house in another town, which isn't Gloucester. He revealed that he has been so traumatised by this incident that he has finnished with Gloucester and that he never plans to go there ever again.
