Once she sang, "Give Peace A Chance" with husband John Lennon but now the 96-year-old Ono is changing it to "Give Britney a chance!"
At a recent Tribute To Yoko Ono, Yoko somehow got onto the subject of Britney Spears.
"I don't like the way she's been treated", the aging performer is reported to have said after the Tribute. "John and I were treated pretty bad by a lot of people at the time but people have become more cruel. All We Need Is Love!"
Not only did Yoko surprise everyone during the interviews and at pauses in the tribute about Britney Spears, she revealed that she is actually 96 years old and was over 30 years older than John Lennon.
"Did John know?"
"Yes and no, I simply told him I was older than he was. He never asked. There's a lot of faked youth one can buy but you cannot purchase a mind, and our minds were together."
Then she got back to Britney.
"They took horrible pictures of her, told her she was all washed up, took the kids and she had the balls to get up and take on a worldwide tour and a new album...AND make it a successful one. She has guts. I like that."
"And you're 96 years old?"
"Look, in the orient people have respect for the older people. I have that respect there and with the tribute, I have it here."
