Billy Mays, who was always on late at night on one channel or another and who died recently, had one more item for sale apparently.
The makers of "The Lucky Hoodoo Hound's Tooth" the luckiest charm of them all for only $9.95 plus postage and handling, were ready for receiving calls.
On the video, you can see Billy Mays talking to people who have won lotteries, huge divorce settlements, horse races, a beautiful lady's hand in marriage who credit the Hoodoo Hound's Tooth for their amazing luck.
Then, in one scene that brought the studio audience to it's feet, a circus freak came up on stage and told how his extra head had disappeared overnight and he could now live a normal life without "Brother".
Best of all, Billy himself went out and walked around the late night street without the Hoodoo Hound's Tooth and a gang of ruffians chased him back inside, one throwing a brick at the cameraman.
Then Billy pockets the lucky Hoodoo Hound's Tooth and when he goes back out there is no gang in sight. Instead, he cannot get past a street corner without some nice lady asking for a date.
However, a judge has ruled that the device cannot be sold as there's no such thing as an actual lucky charm.
"For one thing, anyone who sends in $9.95 plus $5.00 for postage and handling has already suffered some bad luck!"
