In a bizarre twist in the saga of the Michael Jackson story, and one that will please his creditors no end, Jacko will take the top five spots in the British Hit Parade when it is released this weekend.
Early indications are suggesting that Billy Jean will be topping the charts this week with an upsurge of downloads from Napster and iTunes in the wake of his death. Smooth Criminal and Thriller are right behind it, missing the top spot currently by only a few hundred sales. Black and White and Bad are currently occupying fourth and fifth spots, separated by only twelve downloads. Other Jackson hits are selling well also, with songs such as Diana and Beat it closing in rapidly on the top twenty. Paul McCartney is said to be delighted in the royalty check for the Girl is Mine.
"That should restore what I lost to Heather," said Sir Paul.
If the charts continue to fill up with Jackson songs, he is guaranteed a second Guinness book of Records entry as the most number of singles in a single singles chart.
Unsurprisingly, Earth Song is not selling in the same way as Jackson's other singles, mainly due to even the most tone deaf and gullible of people realising that it's crap.
