BEVERLY HILLS - There is no celebrity in Tinseltown who was closer to Michael Jackson, aka "The Moonwalk Kid" than Elizabeth Taylor.
The 77-year-old movie star says that her and MJ were so close that she feels that she could have easily been his biological mother, especially after he became white.
The actress who won Oscars for her roles in Cleopatra, Lady Godiva's Horse, and Mrs. Buffalo Bill Cody has stated that she is extremely depressed at Jackson's passing.
Miss Taylor said that last year she had actually signed the papers to legally adopt Michael. But she says that she misplaced the papers and only found them yesterday. she said that they had somehow fallen into the goldfish tank.
The still-beautiful motion picture icon has asked her attorney Chantelle Zeecozy to draw up the necessary paperwork in order for her to legally change her name, so that she may honor the memory of her BFF.
Zeecozy stated that Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor will soon legally become Michael Jackson.
Ms. Taylor said that she spoke to both of Michael's sisters Janet and LaToya and both expressed to her that they are positively thrilled at her unselfish gesture. This type of name-changing, although somewhat unusual, is not unheard of.
In 1971, when Russian leader Nikita Kruschev passed away, it was reported in The Moscow Frozen Gazette, that a total of 32 people changed their name to Nikita Kruschev in the Greater Moscow area alone.
And years earlier in 1431, when 19-year-old Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in Rouen, France, it is documented that within 48 hours, 11 French citizens changed their name to Joan of Arc, including 2 males.
In a related story. Elizabeth Taylor has agreed to star in a sequel to her 1963 epic motion picture Cleopatra. The sequel is titled Cleopatra 2 - The Cellulite Years.
