Desperate actor Steve Guttenberg, 50 and depressed, has been fired from his latest role, in a film where he was playing himself.
It is a terrible blow to the actor who had been hoping that his performance in "The Steve Guttenberg Story", would see his career rise from the ashes.
In what is even a more bizarre twist in the tale, the director that actually fired him from the film, was himself - Steve Guttenberg.
In a statement released to the press, Guttenberg described that "after a number of lengthy conversations with myself, I have been unable to find a way of portraying myself in a convincing manner."
It is a devastating run of events that now sees Guttenberg trying to recast the role of himself, in his self penned, self-directed and self-financed film.
