A spokesman for Simon Cowell's organisation has admitted that Susan Boyle, worldwide phenomenon is in fact a man.
The spokesman was responding to increasing levels of rumour to Boyle's gender following a letter to a daily newspaper by Enid Johnson, an 87 years old crossword fan pointing out that Susan Boyle, is an anagram of "Sensual Boy".
It appears that the producers of the show were aware of the fact which they were intending to reveal later in the series, to ensure rating levels break new records.
"We went for the anagram of "Sensual Boy" as that is what Doug (Boyle's real name) was called by School bullies." described the spokesman.
The other option was to use an anagram of his other school nickname "Big Gay Doug Jones" but that would have been the name "Jade Bogging-Yous" and we felt that the name Jade was already getting too much media focus.
