Madonna's ex-husband has insisted he fully supported the singer's attempt to adopt another child from Malawi.
Film director Guy Ritchie issued a statement hours after the bid to adopt Mercy James, was dismissed by a High Court judge to express his sadness at the rejection.
She took me in and showed me all the ropes. Allowed me to play games with her. That woman taught me everything I know about being a good kid or husband and, believe me, she knows them all."
"Madonna should write a book with diagrams and illustrations on being a good husband and the discipline required."
He praised the singer also as a 'great mum' who was only driven by the desire to be a good parent and declared his hope that she would try to adopt again in the future.
"Maybe I could come back and say hello sometimes. Then take a long vacation to recover."
