Fans of the former reality TV star Jade Goody have been clutching their radios and mobile phones close to their ears all day today, eager for news on the rapid demise of their heroine - that's heroine not heroin, you idiots! - and to see if she's managed to stave off cancer for another day.
Brave Jade is expected to live only a short time longer, and her publicist Max Cash is managing her affairs, interviews, photo shoots and things like that.
Now though, with the end of the week approaching, and Jade still in the land of the living, Big Brother host Davina McCall has asked the question that was on everyone's lips:
"Is this going to be Goody Friday?"
Yes, the simplistic, obvious end of Goody would be perfect for the newspaper headline writers if the unfortunate, exploited star were to expire on a Friday, and with Easter just around the corner as well!
