When asked about the possibilities for controversy this year, Simon announced: "We are trying to get away from that. I asked all of the attractive girls to just send me their naked pictures directly and to not even mess with the internet. This way, Randy, Ryan, and I can browse through them ourselves and make our own selections without having to share with the world.
"Paula, as usual, picks her one or two favorites every season and we always let one of them into the top twelve, along with the token blonde hottie, brunette hottie, and black hottie. Some times, we even put in a Hawaiin or Latino girl just for variety.
"We made a mistake last year with one of our girls. She was a Mormon and married and just wouldn't put out. The only nude pictures she had were when she was two weeks old. I guess that you really do win some and lose some."
