Plans have been announced to pull The Jeremy Kyle Show after a sudden drop in ratings.
The show first aired in July 2005 and quickly became one of the UK's most popular daytime talk shows. The programme was renowned for its confrontational approach to everyday issues, and saw guests attempt to resolve their problems in front of a live audience, while its host, Jeremy Kyle, mediated.
In the three years of the show's short history, Kyle became an idol amid daytime TV viewers. But after berating his guests for being lazy, good-for-nothing layabouts kept in Burberry and fags by the tax-payer for a whole hour last Thursday, the show's ratings dropped by a staggering 98%.
It has emerged that the drop in ratings was caused by Jeremy Kyle viewers reacting to the star's advice, and getting off their lardy arses en masse to find work.
Jeremy Kyle didn't wish to talk to us today, but his agent has confirmed that Kyle will be 'signing-on' next week.
