HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens have confirmed that they are engaged.
The tween icons have been in a relationship for a long while now, and their relationship has definetely increased the popularity of the movie, it's sequel and the final up-coming installment, High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
Following the claims that their co-star Ashley Tisdale was pregnant with Zac's first child, Efron told us this: "After the claims that Vanessa and I had split up, I wanted to reassure Vanessa that nothing had happened between Ashley and I. So I asked her (Vanessa)to marry me. I wanted her to know that Ashley and I are just friends. I haven't spoken to Ashley since these claims, but I need to make things right with Vanessa first."
Hudgens also gave us her views: "I was so suprised when Zac proposed to me. It was such a romantic moment that I couldn't say no."
