Fresh from his remarks that US show American Idol is racist, Sir Elton John has hit out at children's TV programme 'Teletubbies', calling it 'filth' and 'xenophobic'.

The popular TV programme features 4 human like creatures exploring their rural surroundings with an educational twist that John calls 'Totally inappropriate for children'.

He went on to hit out at the producers of the show, who refused John's wish that his hit single 'The Bitch Is Back' should be the title theme for the show.

The programme is commissioned by the BBC, who issued the following statement - "Elton John's comments that Teletubbies is unsuitable for children to watch are rather ironic, coming from someone who claims to be loved by all ages who wears scary wigs and talks about drunken fighting in the song 'Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting'.

Elton John responded through means of his management team, who said Elton would be releasing a new version of Candle in the Wind in an attempt to distract media attention.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
