Los Angeles, California - (Bad Ass Mess): Britney Spears has told an LA hospital's psych ward shrinks that ex-husband K-Fed 'put hallucinogens in her tampax' in an attempt to poison her with mind-control drugs.
The singer was earlier seen stretchered out of her LA home after a tacky tussle with child custody officials.
After resisting voluntary attendance for hospital evaluation Britney 'suddenly went bananas' according to eyewitnesses.
Her mother was then summoned to sign a committal consent form that sent Spears for a compulsory psychiatric probe.
"During her evaluation by our senior psychiatric team Ms Spears made a number of serious allegations," Prof V Smart of the Seedy-Signs Medical Center said this afternoon.
"When asked to explain her frankly bizarre behavior Ms Spears said she'd hallucinated after using some tampons provided by her ex-husband.
"She said 'it was like a real bad trip' and feared Mr Federline 'was trying to send her mad' to get his hands on her considerable fortune.
"We're currently testing an item recovered from Ms Spears' vagina and awaiting results from toxicology."
