Wesley Snipes and "Alias" actor Michael Vartan have been excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church by Supreme pontiff Pope Benedict XVI.
Vatican spokesman Angelo Beneducci said the stars were "heretics to the good name of the one true faith".
Snipes hit back at the ruling. "It's just not fair. We're taking the rap for the wrong sh*t.The Pope is out to get us 'cos of what we know", Snipes cryptically added.
Snipes and Vartan were the instigators of a riot at the Playboy Pope's retreat in Bangkok, Thailand.
"Il Papa, was very troubled", said Beneduci, "corrupt influences could be damaging to him, his girlfriend and their baby".
Pope Benedict is dating Paris Hilton, who is expecting her first and his second child.
