Armando Iannucci, Scotland's favourite funny man, all round cheeky chap and writer / creator of sitcom "Friends", has hit out at David Beckham, footballer, for his poor sense of humour.
Beckham and Iannucci have been the closest of friends since studying PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) at Kings College, Cambridge, during the 80s, both graduating with firsts. Iannucci was best man at Beckham's celebrity wedding to Posh Spice, delivering an unforgettable speech and striptease. Nicknamed the "Ant and Dec" of football/satire both friends were often photographed together for OK magazine and the split has shocked fans of the pair.
Iannucci was seen leaving a West End nightspot in the early hows of Saturday morning and was heard to slur "David's sense of humour is laughable".
We have spoken to the agent for both men, Derek Lambeth, and he has refused to comment.
More to be reported as it happens.
