LOS ANGELES (People Magazine) - After lengthy negotiations to pin down a director, the film version of SpaceElevator's pet project has finally entered pre-production. First it was Oliver Stone. Then it was Alfonso Cuarón (director of 'Y tu mamá también'). In the end Guillermo del Toro has agreed to direct.
Described as equal parts 'Schindler's List' and 'Throw Momma from the Train', the story is loosely based on the writer's immigrant parents' journey to this country. "The Vicar with the pierced nipples died never realizing how much he helped my parents," revealed SpaceElevator.
"I was shocked when I heard that J-man said he is the only TheSpoof.com writer who speaks/reads Spanish," he continued. "Afterall, I used to order from the menu at Chi-Chi's restaurant (before the Hepatitis outbreak). I always insisted that the waitresses use their native tongue with me."
