The reaction was decisive

Los Angeles CA. Viacom filed suit against WEA and the Chili Peppers today in a Hollywood Superior Court, The suit alleges WEA and The Chili Peppers are in direct violation of certain, "copyrighted," materials.

Lawyers for Viacom claim the company trademarked the term,"copyright", consequently anyone using content, any content, in any form is infringing on their right to, "copyrighted," materials.

Technically, once any artistic creation is on any medium it's copyrighted, thus instantaneously becoming the sole property of Viacom.

With this trademark you can't even use your own material any longer or you will be in direct violation of Viacom copyright trademark law.

Apparently a music video contest sponsored by WEA and The Red Hot Chili Peppers falls under the category of, trademark violation and will cease and desist immediately according to the legal staff at Viacom or suffer the wrath of all the weight of Viacom and it's fledgling companies.

When contacted, lead man for the Chili's, Anthony Kiedis laughed and said, "they can blow the horn between a mooses legs."
