A top US rap artist has won dozens of new fans, after he rescued himself from a potentially career-ending embarrassment during a live internet concert, when he forgot his words.
The rapper, Grizzly Muthafucka (not real name), was onstage in Los Angeles, and online across the globe, but halfway through his bestselling hit, 'Remember', he found he couldn't.
Unfazed, he changed direction, and, from the depths of his vast vocal vocabulary, produced an alternative version of the song.
Looking menacing, glaring at the cameras, and using his fingers and hands in jerky movements to seem intimidating, he rapidly threw in lines ending in 'bat', 'cat', 'fat', 'mat', 'rat', 'sat', and the aesthetically-pleasing 'diplomat' and 'technocrat', although these had fuck all to do with the song, and Grizzly came across as someone demented desperately trying to stave off unemployment.
Fellow rapper, Jiggy-Jiggy-Z, said:
"Don't wanna be disdainful, but that was fucken painful, this sap should give up rap, and go an' do sumthin that's gainful."
And, watching on the internet, Dr. Dre tweeted:
"Fuck dat, ma bitches! This nigga is ludicrous an' dubious, his words, they are salubrious, they conspicuous, ridiculous, let me take down yo' particulars, befow ah put ma dick in yo' vagiculus. Shiiiiit, muthafucka!"
