New York - Just daze after removing some surplus-to-requirement ovaries from their customary setting Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has placed the organs for sale at an Internet auction site.
Provenance papers describe them as a slightlly used one-off originals suitable for a variety of reproductive needs.
This morning bidding started slowly in the $5-$10 bracket after potential buyers demanded to know 'if some sperm comes with the online package'.
A colourful illustration shows Ms Jolie's egg-hatchery in a hermetically sealed ginger jar in a reference, perhaps, to the alleged color of the actress' pubic hair.
Commenting on the unusual offering a website spokesperson said there'd been plenty of interest despite the slow bidding.
The lot will also be advertised on suitable other channels including the Antiques Rogueshow website.
