HOLLYWOOD - Gary Busey the host of The Gorgeous Gary Busey Talk Show recently told Margarita Mixx with The Tinsel Town Times Tribune that CNN asked him to take over for Piers Morgan who is being let go.
Busey expressed his gratitude to CNN for the fantastic offer but he pointed out that he had just signed a two-year deal to host his own talk show.
CNN offered to buy out his contract but Busey said that he is a man of his word.
A high ranking official with CNN stated that they really like Gary's down home style of interviewing; especially when he takes his shoes off and walks around in his socks.
They also like the fact that he does not use a bunch of $400 words like magnanimous, parsimonious, and idiosyncratic.
The CNN executives did inform Busey that they would have to draw the line at him interviewing his guests while wearing a T-shirt and boxer shorts.
SIDENOTE: CNN desperately wants Busey to take over for Piers Morgan and they are trying to figure out a way where Gary can host his own show and still do a nightly CNN show.
