US First Lady Michelle Obama is set to appear in the television comedy Parks and Recreation.
She is set to play a self promoting, celebrity obsessed and star struck, ex wife of the US President; her character, 'Michelle', will have some side splitting lines, such as "Hi, Leslie" and the hilarious "Well, that's politics".
It is not expected her role will become permanent.
Mrs Obama's appearance, in an episode titled Moving Up, will center on her anger and frustration after finding out her husband has been cheating on her with several women, including the character Donna, played by full-figured actress Retta.
The show's star, Amy Poehler - who plays Leslie Knope - announced that the First Lady had 'pestered her months' for a role in the show.
Mrs Obama is not the first US politician to appear on the show - US Vice President Joe Biden made a cameo appearance on the show in 2012, appearing as an out of work and retired ex-porn star.
Executive producer Michael Schur told the Hollywood Reporter last month that he was still hoping to persuade Hillary Clinton to make an appearance on the show, as an ex hooker, hell bent on bedding character Ron Swanson, before the show is canceled; to make way for the new sit-com "Kim" - centered around a South Korean dictator and his crazy pals.
