HOLLYWOOD - Len Goodman, known as the Grouchy Grouch, is perhaps one of the most hated judges in the history of music and dance competition shows.
Many Dancing With The Stars fans feel that the old, bitter Englishman makes fellow Brit Simon Cowell seem like little Honey Boo Boo by comparison.
Val Chmerkovskiy, who was eliminated along with his dance partner Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, said that Len really needs to go back across the pond (the Atlantic Ocean) and return to merry olde England.
Derek Hough echoed those sentiments and added that he should also take Gordon Ramsay, Ricky Gervais, and Russell Brand with him.
When Goodman was introduced to the viewing audience a chorus of boo's immediately thundered across the ballroom.
Many audience members began shouting "We want Cher! We want Cher!" in reference to the 67-year-old music icon who took over for Goodman last week when he had to fly back to London to get his wobbly knees checked out.
After the show Goodman was interviewed by Carolina Chipotle with Bedroom Pillow Talk. She asked the cantankerous old goat why he insists on being so friggin old-fashioned.
He took a sip of his tea, bit into a boysenberry crumpet, and answered that it is just the way he is and at 97, he'll be damned if he is going to change.
SIDENOTE: Miss Chipotle heard from a highly reliable inside source that the producers of Dancing With The Stars are considering firing Goodman after the end of the season and possibly replacing him with Derek's sister, Julianne Hough.
