Late today it was reported that Comedian Jerry Seinfeld tripped over a stage prop while practicing for a show in Las Vegas and was rushed to a hospital emergency room with a muscle pull in his back..
Bob Hatters, who was also in the emergency room because of being allergic to wasp stings, told WLVN reporter James Nelson that Seinfeld came in by being helped by a friend.
Hatters: "Seinfeld was hurting but you could tell he was alert to everything going on around him to use in his routines. I guess he does that automatically whatever happens."
Asked if Seinfeld had said anything to anyone, Hatters said he had overheard Seinfeld's conversation with an older nurse.
Seinfeld: "So why is the old guy that just came in limping like that?"
Nurse: "Oh, so it's Mr Funnyman himself? For your information, that's my father. He's limping badly because his right fibia and tibula are both radically arched. He may need surgery if the x-rays show he needs it. So now that you know, speaking one professional to another, what would YOU do about it?"
"Oh, I guess I'd limp too."
